In Word 2007, when you hit the enter key it assumes you want to start a new paragraph and puts a blank line in there. Single spacing and don't add space between paragraphs. Most of the non-tech people I know who have moved from Word 2003 to 2007 (including co-workers and family) absolutely hate this behavior and would prefer to go back to 2003. Maybe it is more "correct" for it to function this way (I really don't know) but as far as it goes out here in my little world, it just pisses everyone off. When I hit enter, I expect the cursor to drop to the next line NOT insert a blank line and then drop me below that. Regardless of what it's "supposed to mean", this is not how I and many others have become accustomed to using it.
